For the past several years, the conversation around AI has focused largely on what it can answer, search, generate, analyse, recommend. That phase is not over, but the next phase has already begun.

AI is entering an era of agency. Systems that do not just respond to prompts, but that can access platforms, analyse data, make decisions, and execute actions across complex environments. The shift from AI as a tool to AI as a digital workforce is one of the most consequential technological transitions of our time.

It creates enormous opportunity. It also raises fundamental questions about governance, accountability, data sovereignty, cybersecurity, and trust. These are not questions that can be answered after the fact, they need to be built into the foundations of how AI is developed and deployed.

What We Launched at SPARK

In March 2026, SPARK launched the SPARK AI Hub, a dedicated platform for AI and digital technology services designed to accelerate AI adoption, build ecosystem capability, and generate real commercial value across public and private sectors.

The AI Hub operates through a consortium of leading regional and international partners, giving organisations access to cutting-edge technologies, high-performance computing resources, and specialised expertise. It offers integrated services across AI consulting, applied research and development, data analytics, prototyping, and advanced computing infrastructure. And it is focused on developing real-world AI use cases across smart cities, healthcare, manufacturing, and sustainability.

This innovation initiative reflects SPARK’s commitment to positioning Sharjah as a global destination for AI development, and to ensuring that the next generation of AI solutions can be built, tested, commercialised, and scaled from the UAE to the world.

Every Sector Is an AI Sector

One of the most important things to understand about AI is that it is a horizontal capability. Healthcare, manufacturing, mobility, energy, finance, education, the applications are as broad as the economy itself. Every sector will be reshaped by intelligent systems, and every company will need to understand how to develop, adopt, and govern them.

This is why our approach at SPARK goes beyond the AI Hub itself. We are working to integrate AI capabilities across all of our focus sectors, ensuring that the companies we support are building with intelligence at their core.

An Invitation

The opportunity ahead is to define what responsible, capable, and commercially powerful AI looks like, and to do it from the UAE.

If you are building the future of AI, in any form and at any stage, we invite you to build it with us at SPARK.
