Mr. Adel Abdullah Ali

Adel Al Ali is widely recognized as a leader in modern aviation. In 2003, he launched Air Arabia — the first low-cost carrier in the Middle East and North Africa — creating a new market in the region. Under his leadership, Air Arabia became the largest low-cost airline in the MENA region and the first publicly owned airline in the Arab world.

Drawing on his experience with Gulf Air and British Airways, Adel transformed Air Arabia into one of the world’s most consistently profitable low-cost carriers. His forward-thinking business model enabled expansion into new ventures and global travel, tourism, and hospitality markets.

In addition to serving as Group CEO of Air Arabia, Adel Al Ali is Chairman of Sharjah Information Systems Associates, Alpha Aviation Academy, and Cozmo Travel, and sits on the board of Sharjah Aviation Services.

He has received numerous industry accolades, including ‘Airline CEO of the Year,’ the 2020 Laureate Award, and the ‘World’s Best Low-Cost Carrier CEO.’ He is also a Hall of Fame inductee for his contributions to Middle Eastern aviation.
