The sustainable transport project reflects the keenness of 2GetThere and SRTIP to boost the innovation ecosystem; promote scientific research, develop local knowledge and support future technologies.

3D PRINTED HOMES CONSTRUCTION SITE AT SRTI PARK
The entire house will be built with the latest art technology, designed emulating the heritage of the UAE, seeking to foster Sharjah’s status as a preferred destination for this type of building techniques and future architecture. This project comes as a result of triple helix collaboration of government, private sector, and academia, where CyBe Construction (the Dutch organization) is selected as the technology provider to build the 3D house in SRTI Park.

Nokia & Du 5G Du (Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company), has a strategic agreement with Nokia and SRTIP to develop a range of innovative smart city initiatives for the Emirate of Sharjah. Under the agreement, du, Nokia, and SRTIP are undertaking a series of proof of concepts and innovations to enhance Sharjah’s strategic digital transformation. This includes driving the capacity build up in locally developing 5G Use Cases as well as working jointly on developing a local Proof of Concept for Internet of Things (IoT), smart cities, 5G use cases based on a Luxturrim5G ecosystem powered by Nokia Bell Labs in SRTIP premises.

His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council of the United Arab Emirates, Ruler of Sharjah, gave a directive to the AUS Enterprises (AUSE) to establish Sharjah’s fist Open Innovation Lab at the Sharjah Science, Research, Technology and Innovation (SRTI) Park.

The collective vision was to keep the Emirate of Sharjah at the competitive forefront of technological development. By promoting and commercializing new innovative ideas SoiLAB will bring technical innovation and entrepreneurship to the highest international levels in Sharjah.

Sharjah Open Innovation Lab (SoiLAB) is nestled strategically in the heart of SRTI Park surrounded by the University City, school areas and an exponentially growing industry presence in the airport Free Zone.
