Women in Technology Global Forum
The decade’s first and largest Women in Technology Global Forum, organised by the Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park (SRTI Park), will take place from February 23 to 24.
There will be over 30 online sessions and 100 speakers, including female ministers, government officials, scientists,entrepreneurs, researchers, specialists and advocates, who will talk about how women contribute in the advancement of science, technology and engineering globally.
Among the most prominent speakers at the forum are Her Excellency Sarah bint Yousef Al Amiri, Minister of State for Advanced Technology and Chairman of the UAE Space Agency; Her Excellency Sheikha Dr. Lubna Bint Khalid Al Qasimi, HE Tota Sahatkija, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo; and Hussain Al Mahmoudi, CEO of SRTI Park.

There will be online and in-person sessions for an augmented human experience and to ensure a full global reach and a more engaged community. Hussain Al Mahmoudi, CEO of SRTI Park, expressed his happiness at convening the global forum, especially at a time when the world is facing an unprecedented pandemic. He said: “This forum, which translates the goals of SRTI Park in encouraging women to engage in innovative technological activities, is a manifestation of the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.”
“The demand for digital skills will increase by 55 per cent by the year 2030, and it is imperative for us to work on developing women’s skills to keep pace with the future,” he added.
“At SRTI Park we promote innovative ideas that bring technical advancement and entrepreneurship to the highest international levels. We provides access to facilities and technology needed for individual, corporate and collaborative efforts,” Al Mahmoudi underlined.
