SRTI Park successfully concludes its participation at WETEX 2019

Sharjah, October 24, 2019 – Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SRTI Park) demonstrated a number of sustainability solutions in natural resources to support comprehensive development projects during its participation in WETEX 2019, the region’s largest sustainability and renewable technology exhibition , being held from October 21 to 23, at Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre.

The pavilion, which was equipped with some of the most modern technologies, had included a number of programs and initiatives launched by the Park in strategic partnership with leading international companies in the concept of sustainability. A globally unique research on identifying and developing innovative ways for a sustainable future by focusing on key issues – food, water and habitat – offering many technical solutions to utilize natural resources such as agriculture and innovative (horizontal, hydraulic and pneumatic) devices for solar water desalination.

The participation was also aimed at reviewing the investment opportunities available in the Park, which is designed according to the best practices and the highest international standards followed in the construction of technology parks. The Park focuses on a few research areas including: Water Technology; Digitisation; Transport and Logistics; Environmental Technology; Renewable Technology; Production, Design and Architecture. The triple helix partnership between SRTI Park, government and private sectors and academic institutions supports Sharjah’s move towards knowledge-based economy.

His Excellency Hussain Al Mahmoudi, CEO of SRTI Park, stressed on the success of the Park’s participation in WETEX 2019, an important and vital platform that brought together individuals and companies from all over the region and the world under one roof, creating a unique opportunity for investors to explore different opportunities and make decisions about the future of their investments in sustainability technology sector.

Al Mahmoudi added that the Park’s strategy and vision and by creating a research environment suitable for sustainability technology sector through a package of accelerators in cooperation with the private, public and the academic sector.

SRTI Park attracts a number of world-class research companies and research centers. The Green Homes project, developed as part of Merlin Eco-Green Technologies site, is located in the Park. A redefined of living green, these houses are made with cutting-edge polymeric compounds and aerospace technology, offering the ability to live integrated in nature, with total comfort and high energy savings at affordable prices. Built in one day, these houses can last for a longer period of time than the traditional ones.

The pavilion also provided visitors with an opportunity to learn about the projects offered by research companies in the sustainability sector.

SRTI Park’s platform witnessed a remarkable presence of visitors and exhibitors. The team reviewed the priorities, objectives of the Park and the benefits provided by it to the potential investors in sustainability technology sector, and introducing them to the latest initiatives, projects and future partnerships with international companies and institutions.

The Park also organised a session, attended by a number of visitors and participants, during which Al Mahmoudi spoke about the latest initiatives, future projects and important partnerships with international companies and institutions based in the Park for research and development. The Park’s adaptation to the best international standards in providing quality services results to an ideal and safe investment environment for the investors.
