The Bureau of the Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC) visited this morning the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SRTI Park), reviewing its most important work and its role in building an effective partnership between the public and private sectors in the areas of research, development and technology to activate cooperation between the academic sector and various sectors of society.
During the tour, which was attended by a number of dignitaries and chairpersons of the SCC’s various committees, the delegation was received by Hussain Mohamed Al Mahmoudi, CEO of Sharjah Research Technology & Innovation Park and Nahyan Al Falasi, director of government relations and licenses at the SRTI Park.
Al Mahmoudi welcomed the delegates, emphashing the great role of the SRTI Park in opening new horizons of scientific and innovative investments to support the economic and development process in the Emirate of Sharjah. He has further noted that the SRTI Park seeks to attract a different type of investment of modern industries that contribute to the development of a number of vital topics such as transportation, agriculture, construction and other sectors in a different innovative concept.
Al Mahmoudi added that the SRTI Park cooperates with many research institutions and entities in the field of innovation, and many experiments have been applied with international scientific, academic and research bodies and institutions worldwide, ensuring the SRTI Park’s pioneering position as a distinguished scientific research entity at the region level during the next few years.
The Council’s chairman and members were briefed on the SRTI Park’s departments and sections, and its innovative business system .
