H.E Dr. Abdulaziz Saeed bin Butti Al Muhairi

H.E. Dr. Abdelaziz Saeed Obaid Bin Butti Almheiri is the Chairman of the Sharjah Health Authority, Chairman of Sharjah Healthcare City Authority (SHCC) (Healthcare Free Zone), and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University Hospital in Sharjah. His Excellency also chairs the Higher Medical Committee for Retirement of the Sharjah Government and the Medical Committee.

H.E. is also a Board member of the Emirates Health Services Establishment, a Board Member of the Emirates Food Security Council, a Board member of the UAE Health Council, and a Board Member of the Sharjah Football Club. In the voluntary field, He is the chairperson of the Judging Panel of Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work (Since 2019).

During his tenure as Director of the Health Regulation Department at the Sharjah Health Authority, he actively strengthened the Authority’s role in health regulation and health licensing. He had a leading role in the efforts that led to the recognition of Sharjah as the Middle East’s first Healthy City by the World Health Organization in 2015 and in receiving the international accreditation of Sharjah as a healthy city for the second time in 2021. He also contributed to the construction and development of Sharjah Healthcare City, the investment arm of the Sharjah Health Authority.

H.E. Dr. Abdelaziz Saeed Obaid Bin Butti Almheiri holds an MBBS degree from the United Arab Emirates University and a Master’s in Occupational and Environmental Health from Monash University, Australia.
